Never Heat Aluminum Foil

Never heat aluminum foil—this toxic heavy metal will leach into your food if heated. When it accumulates in the brain and body, it can lead to osteoporosis and Alzheimers. Want to undo some of the damage? Drops of silica in your water (sold in many places, we use these) will remove aluminum from your body and brain!

Trying to Get Pregnant?–Avoid Stevia!

Trying to get pregnant?–stop using Stevia! This sweetener’s plant has been used as a contraceptive in South America for over 1,500 years, and when tested on lab rats reduced their fertility by up to sixty percent, and for up to two months after intake. It also inhibits the growth of gut bacteria, so better to steer clear of it at least until after the little bundle of joy comes along.

How to Avoid GMOs?

GMOs have caused countless health problems, and are banned in many countries, so how can you avoid them if, for example, you live in the good ‘ol USA? The “Non-GMO Project Verified” seal is the most reliable indication that a food does not have genetically modified ingredients. If it’s certified organic, you’re also in the clear.

Otherwise, at least avoid anything with corn, soy, and/or canola oil, and (best efforts) derivatives of those (baking powder, beta carotene, cellulose, citric acid, corn starch, lactic acid, lecithin, riboflavin, miso, soybean oil, soy protein, soy sauce, vitamin E/tocopherol, and xanthan gum). For sugar, avoid corn syrup (and the word “fructose” in any way, yikes), sugar beets, and aspartame.

Agave, cane sugar, molasses, and turbinado sugar are never genetically modified. As always, read the label!

Don’t Mix Calcium With Iron

If you eat calcium and iron together, the calcium will prevent your body from absorbing most of the iron; so rule out all of those cold cereals with iron, you’ve been had! Blackstrap molasses, because of its high iron content (15% of your daily in 1 tbsp) and high potassium (potassium, Vitamin C and manganese increase iron absorption), does allow for a good amount of iron absorption despite its calcium. But in general, consume calcium- and iron-containing foods separately (and add a plum when eating iron-containing foods—it boosts its absorption!).

Cleanse Your Body of Heavy Metals Regularly

It’s important to get rid of heavy metals in your body before they build up, especially since we tend to breathe them in every day. Not only are they toxic over time, but they also give our bodies a negative charge, which makes us absorb radiation and host parasites more easily. Cleanse at least weekly by eating or otherwise taking oregano, cilantro and chlorella.
